There is one clear piece of evidence that things arent going well in the gulf. It is the blockade of media from the site, preventing independent research and verification of the disaster. While sensationalizing a tragedy such as this should be avoided its important to understand the ramifications of what is happening.

You see, when water evaporates, it takes the oil & chemical dispersant that BP sprays with it. It then rains oil onto lawns, lakes, and people. This may eventually lead to the forced evacuation of large parts of the gulf coast – recycling the FIMA trailers.

The point is this. BP wont clean this up, they will wait for the government to take over. The government will sue, BP will enter years and years of litigation and settle for pennines on the dollar, while taking in billions in profits. It already happened with Exxon Valdez.
